  • I did work it out in that direction too, but the numbers sounded more grim in dollars, and I could make the jibe about the US economy!

  • Don’t want to spoil the party in here, but just as a reminder, the US prices are always clear prices while the german prices are given with VAT included. Ok, in some states you don’t need to pay sales taxes, but heyho… So, doing some math: € 1467 + 19 % = 1467 *1.19 = € 1745 quite close, isn’t it? ;-) Personally I find it quite annoying that Mac prices in the UK rose: The smallest Macbook was reduced by 100$ which resulted in a 20£ increase. Conversion rates, I guess …
