Yeah, the experience of installing Windoze hasn’t improved much. It still offers a million useless questions and warnings about securing your computer. Whoever came up with the name of “accelerators” for browser preferences and plug-ins in Explorer too?
The impression I always get with Windows is that it desperately needs a change of corporate cultural thinking. However much polish they try to put into it, the mindset bleeds through every time and it is just an awful, awful experience.
@breasy Yes. I used Mellel to write my PhD. Pages is also much more pleasant and has track changes. Word is the shit middle ground for all. in reply to breasy2 hrs ago
