Deadlines
The deadline for the practical part of your project (i.e., the thing you actually built) is Tuesday 13th February. We will aim to have an exhibition of this in Berkaerstrasse in the Seminarraum on Thursday 15th Feb.
Documentation
The documentation for your project is due by the 20th March. You can, of course, submit it earlier to me and please either hand it in on paper here at the office or e-mail me a PDF. Details of this are below:
Documentation Details
Your projects should have been a process of research, developing ideas, refining them and, most importantly, experimentation. From the final work alone it is often hard to see how you got there and what you originally intended. So your documentation should include:
- A description of the project as a final piece - i.e., what it is now
- Documentation of your research for this - technical research, materials, etc. but also all the other works, etc. that have inspired you to take this particular line. Why did it inspire you? What exactly is it about another work that interested you, etc.?
- Documentation of your own process. What initial ideas did you have and how did they change over time? What experiments/concepts/prototypes did you create? Were they successful or problematic? What did you change, leave out, keep in for the final work?
- What would you change now if you had more time? Where next with this? A final summary.
Make sure you also include images in this - particularly of the experiments that didn’t make it to the end.
