&lt;p&gt;I really do have some genuine back-of-a-napkin sketches for projects, some of which I kept for a recent one, but I can't show them yet (maybe not ever) due to an NDA on the project.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I love prototyping code and ideas on paper, particularly for higher level overview type code/architecture. It feels more free, and my mind is somehow more clear.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have good memories of architecting ninjaman's (the final one) collision detection with pad and paper, while sitting on the floor, across three days. Definitely a eureka moment when it all clicked. Only then did I write a single line of code, and it pretty much worked straight away!&lt;/p&gt;
