## About

Dr. Andy Polaine is a design leadership coach with over thirty years of experience in design and innovation. He holds a PhD from the University of Technology, Sydney (thesis on interactivity and play). He was Global Group Design Director of Client Evolution at Fjord, and APAC Regional Design Director before that. He co-leads the MA Service Design at the Hochschule Luzern, Switzerland. He is co-author of *Service Design: From Insight to Implementation* (Rosenfeld Media), a standard text for service design. Since 2020 he has coached over 160 designers in leadership and management roles.

His coaching draws on Jungian analytical thinking, design practice, and a direct, candid approach. He is not a therapist, but coaching often touches on mid-career and mid-life questions of identity and purpose.
