Now that the Fjord 2020 Trends are live—of which I’m very proud—I have some news to announce. After four-and-a-half years in various roles at Fjord I have decided to leave and return to life as an independent consultant. I am thankful for how much I have experienced and learned from the many projects and wonderful colleagues at Fjord, but I’m also happy to be my own man again.

After some time off, I will focus on providing teaching, coaching and mentoring for clients, whether they’re at the start of setting up their internal design and innovation capabilities or need help with their current ways of working. I’ve spent many years teaching both clients and students and have learned a great deal about what makes learning stick, how organisations can best set themselves up to reap the rewards of that investment, and how they often unintentionally block design, innovation and better ways of working. I’m looking forward to sharing that experience — if it’s something that you think I can help you with, drop me a line. I have some other service offerings in mind and I’ll update the homepage with them in due course.

I will also be shaping the young minds of students again, writing some more, like my newsletter (that you should definitely subscribe to), and putting out more episodes of my Power of Ten podcast. I have another book or two planned as well — but I’ll post more about those in a couple of months.
